Tercio Lopes, MD

Dr. Tercio Lopes is board certified as a Gastroenterologist and has practiced in Iowa since 2010 with a special interest in advanced therapeutics.
Dr. Lopes was born and raised in Brazil obtaining his medical degree at the University of Pernambuco Medical School. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and his Gastroenterolgy Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Subsequently, he was selected for a prestigious fellowship in Advanced and Therapeutic Endoscopy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, which he completed in 2010.
Dr. Lopes is honored to have joined the medical team at Iowa Digestive Disease Center as it provides him the opportunity to apply is knowledge and skills in gastroenterology and advanced therapeutics.
