    PRIOR TO YOUR VISIT

    New patients should arrive 30 minutes before their appointment, allowing time for our office staff to process paperwork. For your convenience, you can also download our forms online.

    The Iowa Digestive Disease Center accepts insurance plans from major carriers. Please feel free to call our billing office at 515-288-6097 or call your insurer to verify coverage.

Northbound Ramp Closures at University and Hickman

Beginning on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the NB I-35/EB I-80 University Avenue on ramp and the Hickman Road off ramp will be closed. These closures are expected to last through the end of 2025. The NB I-35/EB I-80 Hickman on ramp was opened to traffic on Sept. 11, 2025. Please see Hickman Road Interchange Construction | Department of Transportation for additional information.

Iowa Digestive Disease Center and Iowa Endoscopy Center are proud to serve the community and surrounding area with regard to digestive health needs. Our endoscopy center is one of only three centers in Iowa recognized by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is known as the leader in setting standards for excellence in gastrointestinal endoscopy and has designed the only national program recognizing quality and safety in the practice of gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Our center has also been accredited by the AAAHC, having met their rigorous quality and safety standards. AAAHC accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.

Our board-certified physicians specialize in:

  • Gastroenterologya medical specialty that focuses on the digestive system (esophagus, stomach, large and small intestines) including colonoscopy (colon cancer screening)
  • Hepatologya medical specialty that focuses on the liver and associated organs (gallbladder, pancreas, biliary tree)
  • Advanced Therapeuticstreatment of complex gastrointestinal disorders requiring advanced endoscopic procedures that often preclude a need for surgery
  • Diagnostic Endoscopylooking inside the body through an endoscope (long, flexible tube) to find out what is wrong
  • Therapeutic Endoscopytreatment of gastrointestinal disorders requiring the use of an endoscope to correct a problem or condition
  • InfusionInfusion therapy involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. It is prescribed when a patient’s condition is so severe that it cannot be treated effectively by oral medications
